Vicky spoke about the service; it costs £2300 every time the helicopter goes on a mission and the service is funded completely by fund raising and donations. The helicopter can reach speeds of up to 185 miles per hour and on average takes 13 minutes to get to the scene of an accident. There is a yellow recycling clothes bin in our carpark and for every tonne of clothes recycled, the air ambulance receives £100. We would encourage our children and families to use this to recycle clothes and help fundraise to this worthwhile cause.
